Toto Kreatives is meant to be a movement that will recognize, support, and elevate the digital voices of children and youth. A movement to ensure every child has the tools, the mentorship, and the platform to express their creativity safely and powerfully in the digital world.
we aim to
engage over 2,500 young Creatives aged 8–20, including:
● Child TikTokers, Instagrammers, and YouTubers
● Young journalists, podcasters, and photographers
● Digital storytellers, animators, artists, and graphic designers
● Budding actors, poets, musicians, and dancers
● Children curious about content creation, media, or broadcasting
● Children who are interested in exploring and entering the digital creator space for the first time
The remaining participants will include parents, educators, guardians, and key industry stakeholders—ensuring a supportive, intergenerational ecosystem of learning and mentorship.
Mtoto News is a pioneering digital media platform committed to making children visible—not only as subjects of conversation but as creators, storytellers, and active participants in shaping society. With years of experience in child-centered journalism, media training, and advocacy, Mtoto News has become a trusted name across Kenya and beyond.
We create content by children, for children, reaching over 5 million viewers annually across platforms. From digital news bulletins and storytelling programs to visual art, animations, and podcast features, our focus is always on amplifying child voices with authenticity and safety.
The Toto Kreatives Youth Council is a vibrant team of young creators from across Kenya who represent the voices, ideas, and dreams of children in shaping the Toto Kreatives Festival. The council leads in co-creating the festival’s programme, championing creativity, digital expression, and youth participation. Through mentorship and collaboration, they ensure that every activity reflects the true spirit of child-led innovation and storytelling.
